On Saturday 25th August 2012 we got up at 3:20 am to travel to Bratton Fleming, Barnstaple in North Devon. We traveled at this time in the morning to avoid heavy traffic on the motorways, as we crossed England. We stopped a couple of times at motorway services before we arrived, in the village. The village of Bratton Fleming is quite small, with very limited phone signal, so keeping my Twitter followers updated was difficult. However, I had wi-fi to help me along. We stayed with my Grandma and Grandad. The Big Sheep:Me and My Sister On Sunday, we visited The Big Sheep, this is an attraction near Bideford, North Devon. As its title says, It's based around sheep. You could watch a number of different shows, with a variety of different talent. The weather remained good for us too (Unlike Monday) Below is the day outlined with pictures and more details on the events we watched.
The Sheep Show:We watched the Sheep Show, this was a performance where the host introduced us to around nine different breeds of sheep. They told us where each one came from, and what there use was. Below are some pictures of the sheep show, and the rest from the lamb feeding.
Below are some more photos that I took at The Big Sheep, if you have any questions about this attraction, please fill in the form below, and I'll get back to you. It doesn't end there... We went on afterwards!
Lynton & Lynmouth:Our friend came over to visit us for the day, and we took him to Lynton & Lynmouth for the day. Lynton is at the top of the cliff and Lynmouth at the bottom. They are linked by a Cliff Railway and a footpath (Or you can be lazy... and Drive! - We didn't) On our way down via the footpath I took the picture shown on the right. Along with some other views, Shown Below. We walked down, however when it came to coming back up I rode, as it was very steep, and in all honesty, I couldn't be bothered! :) When we reached the bottom... Pasty Time!
The weather remained a really nice day so we were able to eat out pasty outside, along with a drink in a local pub afterwards. While we were down in Lynmouth we had a game of putting (18 Holes) That was fun too! Some pictures of the putting are shown below.
Time to go back up to Lynton...After we enjoyed a good morning and start to the afternoon, we went back up to Lynton, Some of us walked and others got the Cliff Railway. The journey home, Back to Essex...Below is my journey home shown in Tweets and Pictures. (Follows from left to right)
On Saturday 28th July we got up at 3:20am and set off for a long journey across England, and into Wales. On the journey, we visited Watford Gap Services and had a Hot chocolate with cream from Costa's (Picture Below). We also stopped at Telford Motorway Services and I had a big and tasty All Day Breakfast Panini... What a way to start the holiday! Later on we visited a small town called 'Dolgellau' This was a nice cafe which Sold great milkshakes and had FREE Wi-Fi. (Picture Of Cafe Below) Click to enlarge the Image On the journey, we drove through lots of Welsh country side, Worth a look at. We drove through the Snowdonia Mountain Range in bright sunshine and warmth (Limited in Wales) On the left is a picture of the countryside, which I choose to show you all. The journey we had was around 8 hours long, This is when my Technology comes in to use! I had plenty of Battery Supplies with me, to power my phone and iPod. I Was updating Twitter The Whole Holiday... To view My Tweets Click Here. Camp Life:We were staying at a Haven camp. They supplied us with access to the Pools, and live entertainment in the evenings. The camp also has it's own beach, only accessible by people staying at the camp. Below are some pictures taken at this beach, showing Snowdonia, including Mount. Snowdon itself! (Click to enlarge an Image) Welsh Highland Steam Railway: PorthmadogOn Monday, We visited Porthmadog. There is a steam train which travels in two directions, one to which goes to Ffestiniog (Which we did last year) and the other direction, which we did this year goes to Caernarfon, however we got off at Beddgelert. We rode through some lovely scenes (Shown Below) At Beddgelert we had an Ice Cream and looked around then got back on the train back to Porthmadog. We then visited 'Spooners' Cafe in the Station. Pwllheli ~ Our Quick Visit We had a visit to the nearby town called Pwllheli. We visited the beach and the lifeboat station. It was a very windy day we visited so we didn't stay at the beach, we just looked. (The picture of the beach to the left was NOT taken by me, unlike all the rest on this page) The Sunrise Over SnowdoniaOther photos from my holiday...

Thanks Today I started my work experience at Snappy Snaps in Chelmsford, Essex. I have known I was doing my placement here for a while now, and today was finally the day to start. I left the house this morning, and arrived there at 9:00am. During the morning I visited the bank 3 times, for a combination of paying in and getting change for the shop. I also was taught on the size of passport photos, and the correct and quick way on how to cut them out, so the abide by the strict rules of Passport control. I met up with My Dad at lunch. I then returned (After checking in!) In the afternoon I learnt how to develop Film cameras, and disposable cameras! That was quite interesting! Then I spent a while watching over a member of staff while they edited some photos. That was my day! I will keep you all updated via This Blog post! :D Remember to keep checking back each day :D Thanks! Day 2: Today was a much better day than yesterday! I learnt how take passport photos so that they are accepted by the UK Border Force. I also edited many photos and changed the contrast, and changed the lightness in peoples photos. I also developed nine disposable cameras! I went to McDonalds for lunch, and used their Free Wi-Fi! I will be visiting there most if not all days! Check back tomorrow for the latest! :) Day 3: Well Today started with a big 'un-expected' journey to London. I set of to Wickford Station, and got on the train. I realised that it wasn't stopping at Shenfield when it flew straight through the station! So I had to travel all the way up to Stratford (London) and then change platforms and get on a different train that took me all the way back to Chelmsford. This added a good 45 minutes to my journey... But Hey! I got there in time to pay a visit to McDonalds first. Below is a map: Day 4: Well the days are just getting better and better! I am really enjoying my working life in Chelmsford. I like my colleagues and the working structure. I have learnt a lot in the past four days, and would like to continue working within the industry! I have a great time when I am at Snappy Snaps, and I never get the feeling that 'I wish I could leave' Which is a bonus!! Day 5: Well the last day of the working week... What can I say? I have had a great week! Today I visited the bank, took, printed and developed photos. I have had a great laugh with Kyle, Alex, Seyton and Jemima. They have made my experience even better! :D Next report on Monday. Day 6: Well the start of a new working week today! I arrived at the usual time of 09:00am after my daily visit to McDonalds for a cup of tea to start the day! I finally collected 6 stickers, which meant I got a free one at lunch time! I went to work and I was asked by my boss, Alex if I could design and make a new price list using the Snappy Snaps layout, I carried out this task via Adobe Photo Shop. I really enjoyed making this, It is such a nice programme to use. After this I printed some photos and cut them to size, served some customers and then met my dad for lunch. This afternoon, I visited the bank a few times (Several Different Ones) Then we all had a laugh when we were a bit quiet of customers. Another Great Day on the Whole! :D Day 7: Today was great! We had such a laugh, us staff at Snappy Snaps! We had deliveries which meant a lot of boxes in a small space... Funny! :D Jemima tweeted about herself from my Twitter. And I made a mess of paper on the floor for her to hoover it up, hehe. So on the whole, another great day! Day 8: Well I had another great day at Snappy Snaps, apart from the feeling of knowing tomorrow is my last day :( I have never met such kind and funny people like the people I work with. I am going to miss them all! :( Today I scanned in over 300 photo negatives which tool time, but showed I was dedicated within my work! I will be sad to say goodbye tomorrow. I have made such good friends with everybody there, especially Jemima! Day 9:
Well today was my last day, and I was very sad to say good bye, I have enjoyed every moment of it! Great people, Great place, Great time! On the bright side they have asked me if I would come back and work during the summer! :D I would like to thank Seyton, Karl, Alex, Amy and Jemima for making my experience great fun! I am hoping to see them all again at Snappy Snaps throughout the summer! :D |
